AN ACT CONCERNING DESECRATION OF WAR MONUMENTS OR MEMORIALS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 46a-58 of the general statutes be amended to provide that any person who desecrates a war monument or memorial shall be fined twice the amount authorized and shall be ordered to make financial restitution to fully compensate for the cost of the repair or replacement of such monument or memorial.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide an enhanced penalty for persons who desecrate war monuments or memorials.
