AN ACT CONCERNING FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS' CONSIDERATION OF UNPAID HEALTH CARE BILLS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 36a of the general statutes be amended to prohibit banks, credit agencies and other lending institutions from considering an applicant's unpaid health care bills when evaluating the applicant's credit worthiness. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To prohibit banks, credit agencies and other lending institutions from considering unpaid health care bills when determining an individual's credit worthiness.
