AN ACT CONCERNING DISCLOSURE OF GROUP HOME RECORDS UNDER THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 14 of the general statutes be amended to provide that group homes that receive state funds are subject to the Freedom of Information Act and to require such group homes to disclose to the public all records and documents that are not exempt under the Freedom of Information Act.
Statement of Purpose:
To recognize that state-funded group homes are public entities and the public has a right to know the content of their records.
