AN ACT REQUIRING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF STANDARDS FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF PRIVATE ROADS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2011) The Commissioner of Economic and Community Development, in consultation with the Commissioner of Transportation, the State Traffic Commission and local traffic authorities, shall adopt regulations, in accordance with the provisions of chapter 54 of the general statutes, establishing standards for the maintenance and repair of private roads and the responsibilities of property owners with respect to such roads. Such standards shall meet federal residential lending requirements.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Statement of Purpose:
To establish standards for maintenance and repair of private roads in order to meet federal residential lending requirements with respect to such roads.
