AN ACT EXPANDING THE DEFINITION OF "DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES" TO INCLUDE AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That 319b of the general statutes be amended to include autism spectrum disorders within the definition of "developmental disabilities" used by the Department of Developmental Services.
Statement of Purpose:
To expand the services provided to individuals with autism spectrum disorders by classifying such disorders as "developmental disabilities".
