AN ACT CONCERNING NOTIFICATION OF LOTTERY WINNERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 229a of the general statutes be amended to require that, fourteen days before the date of the lottery ticket's expiration, the Connecticut Lottery Corporation publicize the date and place of sale of the winning lottery ticket and time left to redeem the ticket, and broadcast such information during its televised lottery drawings.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that persons who purchase winning lottery tickets claim their prize before the ticket's expiration.
