AN ACT REDUCING UNWANTED TELEPHONE DIRECTORIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective from passage) The publisher of any residential telephone directory distributed to members of the general public in this state or in any portion thereof shall obtain the consent of such members prior to delivery of such directory.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Statement of Purpose:
To reduce the number of unwanted telephone directories delivered to residents of the state by requiring the publishers of residential telephone directories to obtain the consent of such residents prior to delivery of such directories.
