AN ACT REQUIRING SUFFICIENT NUMBERS OF BALLOTS AT POLLING PLACES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to require that the Secretary of the State ensure that every municipality has at least one ballot per registered voter prior to all state elections and that the cost of such ballots be paid from the Citizens' Election Fund.

Statement of Purpose: 

To ensure that sufficient ballots are available for voters, to avoid the situation in Bridgeport during the 2010 election.
