AN ACT CONCERNING MEDICAID LONG-TERM CARE COVERAGE FOR MARRIED COUPLES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 17b-261k of the general statutes be amended to require that, for a period of not less than five years, the spouse of an institutionalized person who is applying for Medicaid receives the maximum community spouse protected amount, as determined pursuant to 42 USC 1396r-5.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that funding for section 1 of public act 10-73 is maintained at the maximum federal level.
