AN ACT CONCERNING THE TIMING OF LAND USE APPROVALS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to provide that a developer may file an application with the Department of Transportation and the State Traffic Commission before a development receives final approval from a local planning and zoning commission. Statement of Purpose: To expedite the land use approval process by allowing an applicant to proceed with an application for permits or approvals from the Department of Transportation or the State Traffic Commission before such applicant receives final approval from the local planning and zoning commission.
