AN ACT CONCERNING COMMUNITY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to create (1) incentives for small, community-based businesses in distressed municipalities to hire residents of such municipalities; (2) a program of contract compliance for municipalities; and (3) a program of entrepreneurial training.

Statement of Purpose: 

To promote economic development in distressed municipalities.
