AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE INSTALLATION OF "WRONG WAY" TIRE SPIKES AT THE END OF LIMITED ACCESS HIGHWAY RAMPS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to provide for the installation of "wrong way" tire spikes at the end of limited access highway ramps, which would be designed to puncture the tires of cars entering such ramps in the wrong direction and would be similar to the "wrong way" tire spikes typically used at rental car facilities.

Statement of Purpose:

To protect drivers on limited access highways from tragedies involving wrong way drivers.
