AN ACT CONCERNING THE ASSIGNMENT OF CASES WITHIN CERTAIN GEOGRAPHICAL AREA COURTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to permit the assignment and transfer of criminal cases from Manchester to Hartford in order to alleviate strain on the Manchester criminal court.
Statement of Purpose:
To address overuse and lack of resources at the Manchester criminal court by consolidating services and proceedings within the geographical area courts in the Hartford area.
