AN ACT CONCERNING THE SALE OF SCRAP METALS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 21-11a of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the sale of scrap metals to any person unless the seller provides identification to the purchaser and certifies to the origin of the scrap metals.
Statement of Purpose:
To restrict the ability of persons to resell copper and other metals that have been stolen from vacant homes.
