AN ACT REQUIRING CONSIDERATION BY THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND THE STATE TRAFFIC COMMISSION OF CERTAIN APPLICATIONS PRIOR TO LOCAL PLANNING AND ZONING APPROVALS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to eliminate the requirement that final local planning and zoning approvals be in place before consideration of certain applications by the Department of Transportation or State Traffic Commission and to require the development of an appeals process for DOT and STC permit requirements and clarification of their review process.
Statement of Purpose:
To streamline certain regulatory processes and eliminate duplication of effort among state agencies and municipal governments.
