AN ACT CONCERNING ASSAULT OF A SCHOOL EMPLOYEE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 53a of the general statutes be amended to establish the crime of assault of a school employee that shall be punishable as a class D felony and that section 46b-120 of the general statutes be amended to include in the definition of "serious juvenile offense" the crime of assault of a school employee.
Statement of Purpose:
To protect school personnel by providing an enhanced penalty for the assault of a school employee.
