AN ACT CONCERNING A GRANT IN LIEU OF TAXES ON REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY A SKILLED NURSING FACILITY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 12-20a of the general statutes be amended to provide a state grant in lieu of taxes to municipalities with respect to real property within such municipalities that is owned by any nonprofit skilled nursing facility.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow municipalities that host nonprofit skilled nursing facilities to receive payments in lieu of taxes from the state for such facilities.
