AN ACT CONCERNING A BOND AUTHORIZATION FOR THE EUGENE O'NEILL THEATER CENTER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate eight million dollars, the proceeds of which shall be used by the Department of Economic and Community Development for the purpose of providing a grant-in-aid to the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in the city of Waterford for construction of five new rehearsal spaces, dormitory cottages, a new dining facility and an additional theater to support its new educational initiatives.
Statement of Purpose:
To enable the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center to expand its physical campus to provide the infrastructure needed to support its new educational initiatives.
