AN ACT CONCERNING PARTNERSHIPS BETWEEN PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOLS AND LOCAL BUSINESSES AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A TAX CREDIT FOR PARTICIPATING IN SUCH PARTNERSHIPS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That chapter 164 of the general statutes be amended to permit high schools, technical high schools and regional agricultural science and technology education centers to establish partnerships with local businesses that will provide internships for students attending such schools. It is further proposed that the general statutes be amended to provide a tax credit of five hundred dollars per student to such business that provide internships as part of such partnership. Statement of Purpose: To foster partnerships between public high schools and the business community.
