AN ACT CONCERNING APPROVAL OF NEW UNFUNDED MANDATES BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 16 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit new unfunded mandates on municipalities unless such mandate is approved by a two-thirds vote of both chambers of the General Assembly.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide mandate relief to municipalities.
