AN ACT COMMITTING BUS AND RAIL FARE INCREASES TO BUS AND RAIL UPGRADES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require that the Department of Transportation use an amount equal to the amount of revenue raised from the scheduled fare increases on Connecticut bus and rail passengers over the next three years for upgrades to bus and rail service operations and maintenance.
Statement of Purpose:
To require that the scheduled bus and rail fare increases be used for upgrades to bus and rail service operations and maintenance.
