AN ACT CONCERNING REFUSE REMOVAL OR DISPOSAL COMPANY FEE INCREASES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 742c of the general statutes be amended to require refuse removal or disposal companies to notify customers in writing prior to increasing any contract fee by five per cent or more and to grant such customers the option to re-negotiate their contracts with such refuse removal or disposal companies at that time.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide peace of mind for customers of refuse removal or disposal companies by requiring written notification of increased fees.
