AN ACT INCREASING THE MAXIMUM FINE FOR UNSOLICITED TELEPHONIC SALES CALLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 42-288a of the general statutes be amended to increase the maximum fine for unsolicited telephonic sales calls from eleven thousand to sixteen thousand dollars per violation.
Statement of Purpose:
To protect consumers by increasing fines for "Do Not Call" list violations.
