AN ACT CONCERNING THE PAYMENT OF LOST WAGES TO PART-TIME EMPLOYED JURORS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 51-247 of the general statutes be amended to provide that a part-time employed juror shall be eligible for lost wages attributable to his or her jury service and that such wages shall be payable in a manner that is commensurate to the calculation of wages payable to a full-time employed juror.
Statement of Purpose:
To require that a part-time employed juror be compensated for lost wages attributable to his or her jury service.
