AN ACT ESTABLISHING A MODEL PLAN FOR EMERGING BIOSCIENCE AND PHARMACEUTICAL BUSINESSES IN SOUTHEASTERN CONNECTICUT. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 32 of the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Economic and Community Development to develop a model plan to support bioscience and pharmaceutical start-up and emerging businesses in southeastern Connecticut that shall include, but not be limited to, quick response mechanisms, safeguards for appropriate use, targeted incentives, business formation support resources and strong integration with existing regional assets. Statement of Purpose: To facilitate the growth of a bioscience and pharmaceutical presence in southeastern Connecticut.
