AN ACT CONCERNING RANDOM AUDITS OF SOCIAL SERVICES PROGRAMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 17b-99 of the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Social Services to perform random quarterly audits of fifteen per cent of program providers and beneficiaries for fraud.
Statement of Purpose:
To eliminate fraud and abuse in taxpayer-funded programs.
