AN ACT CONCERNING CERTAIN MEDICAL FORMS AND ELECTRONIC ACCESS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the development of a uniform form for prior authorization of health care services by health care providers and insureds, to permit such form to be accessed, completed and submitted electronically, and to allow health care providers to access clinical criteria and protocols used by health insurers and utilization review companies electronically.
Statement of Purpose:
To simplify and modernize the prior authorization process for health care providers and insureds.
