AN ACT CONCERNING TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT AND EMPLOYEE BACKGROUND CHECKS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statues be amended to prohibit an employer from requiring a temporary employee attempting to transition into a permanent position with the employer to consent to a background check as a prerequisite of permanent employment.
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent hiring discrimination for employees transitioning from temporary employment to permanent employment.
