AN ACT ELIMINATING LONGEVITY PAYMENTS FOR ALL STATE EMPLOYEES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit any provisions regarding state employee longevity pay from being included in any collective bargaining agreement when such collective bargaining agreements are subject to negotiation and renewal.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that all similarly situated employees are treated equally by eliminating longevity payments for all state employees.
