AN ACT CONCERNING ACCESS TO A CHILD'S DEATH CERTIFICATE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 93 of the general statutes be amended to allow the Department of Public Health and the registrars of vital statistics to restrict access to the copy of the death certificate for a child under eighteen years of age when the disclosure of the death certificate is likely to cause undue hardship for the family of the child.
Statement of Purpose:
To protect the privacy of families following the death of a child.
