AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE BRIDGEPORT WATER POLLUTION CONTROL AUTHORITY TO LEVY FEES ON STORM WATER MATERIALS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to authorize the city of Bridgeport's water pollution control authority to levy fees on storm water, sheet flow and nonpoint surface material that flows into the city's sewer system in order to construct a separate sewage system for such storm water.
Statement of Purpose:
To address the problem of storm water in Bridgeport which combines with sewage and results in the overflow of the system into Long Island Sound.
