AN ACT CONCERNING PLACEMENT OF LONG-TERM INMATES IN OUT-OF-STATE CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Correction to place any inmate sentenced to a term of incarceration of eight years or more in an out-of-state correctional institution whenever such placement is possible.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide that inmates with long sentences serve their sentences in out-of-state correctional institutions whenever possible.
