AN ACT CONCERNING STATE CONTRIBUTIONS TO MUNICIPALITIES AND THE PREVAILING WAGE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 31-53 of the general statutes be amended to exempt all municipal public works projects from abiding by the prevailing wage laws unless at least twenty-five per cent of the total cost of the municipal project is funded by the state.
Statement of Purpose:
To exempt municipalities from the prevailing wage laws unless the state contributes twenty-five per cent or more of the total cost of the municipal project.
