AN ACT CONCERNING APPROVAL OF NEW MUNICIPAL MANDATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require any legislation imposing a mandate on municipalities to be passed by a vote of two-thirds of the members of each chamber of the General Assembly.
Statement of Purpose:
To require a vote of two-thirds of the members of the General Assembly to approve mandates on municipalities.
