AN ACT CONCERNING THE COMMITMENT OF CERTAIN YOUTH FOR MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 319i of the general statutes be amended to allow the parent or guardian of a youth sixteen or seventeen years of age to commit the youth to a facility for mental health services.
Statement of Purpose:
To give parents and guardians of youth sixteen and seventeen years of age greater oversight in their psychiatric treatment.
