AN ACT REQUIRING CERTIFICATION FOR TECHNICIANS WHO DECONTAMINATE SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 20 of the general statutes be amended to require certification for technicians who decontaminate surgical instruments and other health care equipment.
Statement of Purpose:
To require certification for technicians who decontaminate surgical instruments in order to reduce hospital-acquired infections.
