AN ACT PROHIBITING THE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES FROM CASHING ANY CHECK FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION PRIOR TO THE ISSUANCE OF SUCH REGISTRATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the Department of Motor Vehicles from cashing any check for a motor vehicle registration prior to the department verifying each registration requirement and issuing such registration.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the Department of Motor Vehicles from cashing any check for a motor vehicle registration prior to issuing such registration.
