AN ACT CONCERNING THE ISSUANCE OF SANDY HOOK PROMISE LICENSE PLATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 246 of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to issue, upon request, special "Sandy Hook Promise" number plates and to provide that the proceeds of any fee for such plates shall be used by the commissioner for the purpose of a grant to the nonprofit corporation Sandy Hook Promise to encourage and support solutions to make communities safer and prevent further acts of violence.
Statement of Purpose:
To create a special license plate to help fund Sandy Hook Promise.
