AN ACT ESTABLISHING A YOUTH GUIDANCE PILOT PROGRAM.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to create a youth guidance pilot program charged with evaluating and educating at-risk youths with the goal of providing such youths with coping mechanisms to lessen the cycle of violence and criminal activity within their communities.

Statement of Purpose: 

To create a program to help at-risk youths deal with the pressures associated with gang culture and criminal activity in their communities and to further support local law enforcement and anti-violence groups already undertaking such measures.
