AN ACT PROHIBITING THE DENIAL OF RECESS AS A FORM OF DISCIPLINE IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-221o of the general statutes be amended to prohibit teachers and administrators from denying students time for physical activity or exercise as a form of discipline.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the denial of recess as a form of discipline in schools.
