AN ACT CONCERNING THE PENALTY FOR CRIMES COMMITTED BY POLICE OFFICERS WHILE ON DUTY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide an increased penalty for any police officer who commits a crime against a crime victim or commits a crime at the scene of an accident when the police officer is on duty and is responding to a crime scene or an accident in the course of his or her duties.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide an increased penalty for any police officer who commits a crime in the course of his or her duties.
