AN ACT CONCERNING THE ENFORCEMENT OF "NO THRU TRUCK" VIOLATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to allow any local police officer, when investigating any truck in operation on a road in such officer's municipality that is designated as a "No Thru Truck" road, to access such truck's transportation itinerary in order to determine whether such truck's operator is in violation of any "No Thru Truck" prohibition.
Statement of Purpose:
To strengthen municipal enforcement of "No Thru Truck" laws to prohibit certain trucks from using prohibited roadways.
