AN ACT CONCERNING FARES FOR DISABLED VETERANS WHO USE MASS TRANSPORTATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 242 of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Transportation, upon application, to issue any resident of this state who is a disabled veteran a nontransferable pass permitting use of public transportation services for free or at a reduced fare.
Statement of Purpose:
To honor and assist disabled veterans by providing them with free or reduced-fare access to Connecticut's public transportation system.
