AN ACT CONCERNING OCCUPATIONAL LICENSING FOR VETERANS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to waive training and examination requirements for state occupational licenses in certain fields, such as information technology, construction, medicine and mechanics, for veterans who obtained similar experience, training or licensing in related fields during service with the armed forces.

Statement of Purpose: 

To assist veterans in obtaining employment by streamlining the occupational licensing process for veterans who return from service in the armed forces with particular skill and experience that correlates to that which is necessary to obtain certain state occupational licenses.
