AN ACT EXCLUDING OVERTIME PAYMENTS FROM THE CALCULATION OF RETIREMENT INCOME FOR STATE EMPLOYEES SUBJECT TO COLLECTIVE BARGAINING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to, for all state employees included in any collective bargaining agreement negotiated or renewed after the passage of this act, eliminate overtime compensation from the calculation of retirement income.
Statement of Purpose:
To help reduce the cost of retirement income payments to unionized state employees from the State Employees Retirement Fund.
