AN ACT CONCERNING THE BUDGETS OF REGIONAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICE CENTERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-66j of the general statutes be amended to (1) require the budget for each of the regional educational service centers to be a separate budgeted agency from the Department of Education, and (2) require the Commissioner of Education to submit to the joint standing committees on education and appropriations a report regarding (A) all amounts and sources of private funding, including grants, received by each regional educational service center, and (B) all amounts of employee compensation, including salary and benefits and to make such report available on the web site of the Department of Education and each regional educational service center.
Statement of Purpose:
To improve the understanding of the budgets of regional educational service centers.
