AN ACT CONCERNING REFUSE REMOVAL CONTRACT RENEWALS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require refuse removal companies to send written notice to customers ninety days prior to a contract's expiration date and to specify such contract shall not automatically renew, but may only be renewed by the customer in writing.
Statement of Purpose:
To protect consumers by requiring refuse removal companies to provide them with written contract renewal notices.
