AN ACT CONCERNING ALLERGY TESTING FOR CHILDREN WITH ASTHMA.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 19a-62a of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Public Health to include in the annual report on the state-wide asthma plan a recommendation concerning allergy testing by physicians for children with severe asthma. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To encourage allergy testing of children with chronic and severe asthma by primary care physicians to achieve better compliance with the National Institute of Health's guidelines, to identify potential triggers of childhood asthma and to encourage better asthma management.
