AN ACT CONCERNING THE TRANSPORTATION AND INSTALLATION OF HEADSTONES FOR RESERVISTS AND MEMBERS OF THE CONNECTICUT NATIONAL GUARD.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 27-119 of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Veterans' Affairs and the Comptroller to pay the expense of transporting and erecting or installing any headstone provided by the federal government for the grave of a person who served in the Connecticut National Guard or as the reserve component of any branch of the armed forces, provided such grave is located in this state.
Statement of Purpose:
To require the state to pay for the cost of transporting and installing headstones provided by the federal government for the graves of Connecticut National Guard members and reservists.
