AN ACT CONCERNING THE REPEAL OF THE REQUIREMENT THAT BOARDS OF EDUCATION BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PRESCHOOL PROGRAM TUITION AT MAGNET SCHOOLS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That sections 10-264l and 10-264o of the general statutes be amended to repeal the requirement that local and regional boards of education be responsible for paying any tuition charged for students enrolled in a preschool program offered at an interdistrict magnet school or a charter school. Statement of Purpose: To relieve cities and towns of the financial burden of paying for preschool program tuition at magnet schools.
